The Neurology Practice MS Clinic

 

The Neurology Practice was set up in 2005 to provide a range of private neurological services covering London, the Home Counties and patients referred from abroad.  The practice provides a comprehensive neurological service to patients with access to a leading consultant in their specific field.  

The Neurology Practice helped establish the MS Clinic at the St John and St Elizabeth Hospital in London NW8 which offers dedicated specialist neurological services for patients with Multiple Sclerosis.  Professor  Jeremy Chataway now sees patients with MS at St Johns and also at Highgate Hospital in north London.

After qualifying in medicine at Cambridge and Oxford Universities, and general medical training in London, Professor Chataway specialised in Neurology over an 8 year period, with posts in Edinburgh, Cambridge and London. He was awarded a PhD from Cambridge University in genetic epidemiology of multiple sclerosis and took up his post as a consultant Neurologist in 2001. He has a large practice in multiple sclerosis, in-depth knowledge of new drugs (eg natalizumab, fingolimod and fampridine) and carries out research in advanced trial design and novel agents.

Professor Chataway currently sits on the MS Society Grant Review Panel for Care and Services Research and is also a Association of British Neurologists member for the UK NICE  committee.
